From our first visit at Westwind we were impressed with the facilities and the grounds available. The multiple ponds allow the dogs to learn the art of entry as well as the many opportunities for angle entries and channel blinds as their training progresses.
Carl took the time to learn about our goals and aspirations for our 9 month old lab Sheamus. A custom training program has been tailored to meet not only Sheamus’s needs but to also focus on myself to become a better handler now and in the future.

Whether you are looking to train a gun dog, master hunter or the next field trial champion finding the appropriate training grounds can be difficult. A variety of land and water is needed to continually challenge your dog to reach its peak performance. In looking for pre-National Master training, we were able to find the terrain, land and water, we were looking for to train on. Westwind Retrievers has availability to great grounds and some of the nicest technical water around.
